SUMMARY
Argument for God's Existence: The Cell Phone
Suppose that a person was walking along and a shell caught their eye and they picked it up. Could the forces of nature over time have formed this shell through a random process?
Now suppose that, this time, the person picks up a cell phone. If you didn't know what it was, but you noticed that it opened up and that it had buttons with numbers and that they performed a certain function. You probably wouldn't believe that over time, it had been formed by forces of nature. It would only be reasonable to believe that some intelligent mind had created this object.
Suppose you were wandering the universe and this world caught your eye and you decided to stop and take a look at it. Observing its properties, you would notice that the sun rose every morning and set every night and then you noticed a blade of grass, with it's own intricate system that kept it alive. It wouldn't be reasonable to think it had been created from a random force. You would think that it was the product of an intelligent mind. Christians believe that God intelligently created the world and all we see.
